Christmas Cake in Japan

Christmas is one of those holidays that just seems to be filled with cheer and wonder even in Japan. Whether you are celebrating a secular or religious Christmas, your day is sure to be filled with happiness. For some curious reason Japan has a unique tradition of eating cake (usually a strawberry shortcake because of its Christmas colors) on Christmas. Let’s learn more about the kinds of Christmas cakes people enjoy this time of year.

These fruit concoctions are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat. The red and white cake is very popular in Japan, especially for Christmas.
