Japanese Beauty Trends

In Japan, there are tons of cosmetics, skin care items and makeup items. Those products change constantly and we are able to get new items through the year. Therefore, the “trends” of makeup also change almost every season or every two seasons. Many girls in Japan check the trends and they follow it.

l will introduce some of trends of this summer! If you think the way of makeup in Japan is “Kawaii”, you should try it;)

Base makeup

A makeup which can make dewy skin is the trend of this season. The point of this summer’s makeup is the clear dewy skin that does not feel like you have makeup. on And the trend colours of 2017 are bright warm colours, such as pink, red, and orange. So if you wanna put on eyeshadow or blush, why don’t you use those colours?

Eyebrow

From the point of eyebrow, mainstream now in Japan are natural thick eyebrows but you should try arched eyebrows rather than straight eyebrow. This is because arched eyebrow can create the elegant and soft atmosphere which is popular these days. Eyebrow is one of the most important part when you makeup, and you can change your impressions only if you change the shape of your eyebrow.

How to pencil arched eyebrow? These are some useful advices for you.

1. Keep in mind to make your upper part of eyebrow arched in natural way.
2. Use powder eyebrow to pencil your eyebrows more naturally.
3. And of course, try to pencil eyebrows symmetrically!!

Lipsticks

Usually, in summer, pale tone tend to be the most popular colour, but this year, trend in Japan would be the dark lip colour. Among them, brilliant red, bordeaux and dusty pink are the colours you should use this summer. These colours are also useful in autumn and winter, so if you have one, you can use it till next year:) Find the colour you like and fit you the best!!
