Spirited Away Postcard
If you have watched “Spirited Away”, this scene likely needs no introduction, but to the uninitiated, it may still evoke feelings and questions. Even a still frame from a feature length movie has the ability to convey a message. The boy on the right (Haku) is comforting our main character (Chihiro) with a rice ball after she’s had to adapt to a very new environment. Let this card be the rice ball that lifts the spirits for someone you care for! This movie held the record for highest grossing movie in Japan for 19 years.
My Neighbor Totoro B6 Notebook
It’s common for young children in Japan to see Totoro’s while walking in the woods or nature landscapes, but kids say the strangest things don’t they? Now you too can see Totoro, in your notebook! It’s a simple and stylish notebook designed to take on the go, made in Japan of high quality paper. Totoro is Studio Ghibli’s mascot, and even features in the company logo.
Kiki's Delivery Service Mini Clear File
The story of Kiki is one of growing up and landing on your own two feet. Help your own journey to organize your life with this clear file that can motivate and remind you that you can do it, despite the hurdles you may face. The prints all feature iconic details from the movie such as the cat Jiji, the talking broom and various character accessories. The slightly Nordic aesthetic comes from inspiration taken from the town of Visby in Sweden during the movie's production.
Mildliner Shibu Mild Assort from Zebra
A special select mildliner set inspired by Studio Ghibli’s palette that tends to be consistent through their work. The set is called Shibui mild, which roughly translates to "Mild & Sophisticated”, a wonderful description of the calm simplicity yet deep undertones of most Ghibli movies. The markers are dual tipped, and the color is soft enough that it doesn’t overshadow your writing or page text, making this set perfect for anything from doodles to studying. Princess Mononoke Foil-Stamped Mini Ring Notebook
A smaller notebook with a golden emboss featuring Ashitaka and his loyal giant serow Yakul.This movie was originally going to be titled The Legend of Ashitaka,but as the titular San was the more popular character, the name was changed. The 5mm grid interior is gridded making it great for organization, as well as writing down ideas on the go, or keeping lists. The paper has a warm glow to its color. For another visual wonder featuring spirits, I recommend the movie “Mononoke: Karakaza”.
Howl's moving castle Washi Flake Sticker
Stickers made with Japanese washi paper depicting characters from the movie Howl’s moving castle, as well as some accessories to fit a fashion theme. The designs are based on the hat shop managed by Sophie, the movie protagonist. The stickers are die cut to properly represent Calcifer, Sophie and Howl. They all look extra dandy, don’t they? This movie is loosely based on a novel by British author Diana Wynne.
Whisper of the Heart Die-Cut Sticky Note Set
Gorgeous sticky notes, rich in detail featuring The Baron, Louise and the antique clock, all from the movie “Whisper of the Heart”. The notes are glued at the bottom, making them self standing and easy to use as bookmarks or reminders. While not the most well known movie in the west, doesn’t this mesmerizing art make you want to give it a watch? Aside from “The Wind Rises”, this is my favorite Ghibli movie^^
Kiki's Delivery Service 2B Pencil
If you haven’t watched “Kiki’s delivery service” this may seem like just a cat themed pencil. While you’re not entirely mistaken, it is a bit more magical than that. It’s filled with designs from the movie “If you know, you know”. The 2B graphite scale is darker and softer than the common HB you often find in pencils. Use it for a natural look to your sketches or notebooks, a great match for the sophisticated mildliners also included in this box. Use this pencil in the office or classroom to suss out other Ghibli fans.
