Subarashiki Fusen 2 From Kamio Japan

Receive one of two sticky note pads featuring either “Daibutsu” (Great Buddha) or “Nehanbutsu” (Reclining Buddha). Using Buddha as a motif for various goods has become an increasingly popular trend in Japan since 2015. Something about this usually serious and symbolic figure is also very cute! There are 30 sheets in the pad and can be placed seemingly upright as the glue is on the bottom part of the note. The reclining Buddha does not have a speech bubble, but a “Sleeping bubble” , a common trope in Japanese comics.

This sticker set features the main character of award winning webcomic “An old man who reincarnated as a cat”. Like the title implies, these short situational comic strips follow an older businessman who’s hit by a truck and wakes up as a cat. The set has 18pks and 9 designs. In an interview with a Japanese publication, in response to how some people find the cat cute, and others the old man author Kenji Yajima said; “I draw the cat to be cute and the old man like an old man“…”but it makes me happy when people find him cute”.
