Cup Star Cheese Shio Tom to Jerry from Sanyo Shokuhin

Allergens: wheat, egg, dairy, sesame, soy, chicken, pork Processed in a facility that also processes seafood extract Cooking time: 3 minutes Did you know that Tom & Jerry (トムとジェリー) were originally named Jasper and Jinx? A more impressive fun fact, though, is that the cat and the mouse won a combined 7 Oscars! Now, we have to combine that information with some tasty noodles from "CupStar" (カップスター), one of Sanyo Foods Sapporo's number one series. It's a salty ramen (しお) with a characteristic cheese flavor that uses cheese-flavored cubes (I mean, if Jerry’s around, there’s gotta be cheese, right?), perforated, just like the stereotype that just popped up in your mind. The noodles have a smooth surface (so smooth that Jerry could use them to make Tom slip while in pursuit!) and are supple and easy to eat. Thanks to the gentle seasoning of the noodles and the soup become one. That, and the umami of chicken, bonito and scallops, combined to create a salty, cheese-flavored soup.

Chicken Ramen Donburi from Nissin

Allergens: wheat, egg, dairy, chicken, soy, sesame Cooking time: 3 minutes Chicken Ramen is actually the very first instant ramen ever invented! Nissin Chikin Ramen (日清チキンラーメン), is a noodle brand and the first marketed brand of Japanese instant noodles produced by Nissin Foods since 1958. It was invented by Momofuku Ando after he learnt how to cook tempura in his house in Ikeda, Osaka, our hometown! Actually, house is an overstatement, he did it in his garden shed! The main ingredient in this renewed version is "Kakitama" (かきたま) made into "Torofuwa tamago" (とろふわたまご). The fluffy and thick texture of the egg has a smooth feel while being eaten, and you can appreciate the subtitles flavors of the eggs! Make sure to look under the lid for a homage to the creator of what’s referred to, in Japan, as one of the greatest inventions of all time: instant noodles!
