The Champon noodles were first served by Shikairō (四海楼), a Chinese restaurant in Nagasaki in 1899, as a filling meal for Chinese high school students in Japan. Nowadays, this ramen dish can be enjoyed all over Japan, having different variations from Northern Akita to the Southern Okinawa islands. Noodles, made specially for Champon dishes, are paired with rich pork bone soup poured almost to the point of overflowing. The dish is sealed with seafood toppings and assorted vegetables, creating a colorful and heartwarming noodle dish!

Ninben Goma Kaoru Kiwame Katso Dashi Niku Dashi Udon from Sanyo Shokuhin

Allergens: wheat, dairy, sesame, soy, chicken, pork Cooking time: 3 minutes This is a niku dashi-udon that has a deep taste of bonito broth with a fragrant sesame flavor. This is the 4th edition of the cup noodle series "Katsuo Dashi", a collaboration with Ninben (にんべん), a Japanese bonito specialty store. All ramen products in this series use their Ninben katsuobushi 鰹節. Katsuobushi is dried, smoked, and fermented fish fillet powder frequently used in Japanese dishes like okonomiyaki and takoyaki. The sharp Japanese style soy sauce paired with rich broth and seasoned pork makes this an impressive umami-packed dish. This is especially recommended for those who want to enjoy "Niku Dashi Udon" with a higher grade of Japanese sauce with an authentic flavor of bonito broth!

Tanabata also known as the Star Festival (星祭り, Hoshi matsuri), is a Japanese festival. It celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, separated by the Milky Way, and only able to meet on July 7 every year, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. Those Caramel Corn from Tohato are a limited edition especially released for those celebrations!
