February flew by, don’t you think?
On 5th February we celebrated the Lunar New Year. We decorated the ZenPop office with chinese lanterns, which looked so beautiful.
February is usually the coldest month in Japan, with average temperatures of -4°C in Hokkaido. Brrr! Luna-chan visited the famous Sapporo Snow Festival (さっぽろ雪まつり, Sapporo Yuki Matsuri) to enjoy the giant snow sculptures!
We hope our February packs warmed your hearts, as well as your tummies!
Are you a sweet or salty person? When it comes to snacking you don’t have to choose, because we have given you options. If you’re feeling salty, close the shades and crunch these munchies under the blankets while plotting your elaborate revenge schemes. And if you’re feeling sweet, share your treats with your heart wide open!
We asked ZenMarket's staff to choose between Sweet chocolate cookies and salty shoyu butter chips, both available inside February's Mix Pack.
And the favorite snack is...
Shoyu (soy) is the most common of the four main types of ramen available in Japan. There is something so satisfying about the rich salty umami flavor, and it is simple enough to be the perfect backdrop for adding extra ingredients. We collected five variations of shoyu ramen and one yakisoba with shoyu flavor sauce. After this delicious pack you’ll be well versed in this classic Japanese dish! Find out what our top 3 ramen restaurants in Japan are!
Japan has so many items with cute animals, but we decided to honor hedgehogs this month as it will soon be spring, the time for hedgehogs to come out of their winter sleep. In Japanese, hedgehogs are called harinezumi (hari = needle, nezumi = rodent), so many companies nickname their hedgehog characters Harry!
The sweet buttery stickiness of caramel will put you in the mood for love. Love of candy that is! This pack might be bordering on too sweet but we will let you judge for yourself. Indulge in all the caramel treats in this pack and feel the love.
